Adyta Builds

Adyta Builds are a specialist bio-based building subcontractor based in Beccles, Suffolk, operating on projects across the UK. Founded in 2023 by Annie — who holds an MSc in Green Building and Sustainability — the company was established to promote more sustainable, hygroscopic materials in the built environment. Adyta specialise in hempcrete installation for both retrofit and new build projects, working with main contractors, architects, building designers, and self-builders. Their name is drawn from the Greek plural for the innermost sanctuary of a temple, reflecting a fabric-first philosophy that places insulation and airtightness at the heart of every project.

The company is led by two directors: Annie, a certified Passivhaus Consultant and natural builder with a science background and technical expertise in building physics, and Jack, who leads the site team and brings hands-on craftsmanship to every installation. Adyta are one of only a small number of specialist spray hempcrete installers in the UK, operating a 3CM spray machine — the same equipment widely used across France, where hempcrete has been installed at scale for decades. Their in-house technical capability extends to Passivhaus consultancy and hygrothermal WUFI modelling, enabling them to support design teams from the earliest stages on moisture-safe, high-performance building envelopes.

Adyta's project experience spans new build timber-frame construction, retrofit internal wall insulation, and listed and heritage buildings. As a small, specialist company they are fully insured and VAT registered, and they treat every installation to a rigorous quality standard — leaving every wall finished ready for direct application of breathable plaster. They regularly travel long distances to site and are experienced in working within the programmes of larger contractor-led builds as well as directly with homeowners and self-builders over extended project timelines.
