What data we collect
Carbon Tracker submissions (via Google Form)
- Name, email address, organisation, country, submitter type
- Project details: project name, type, build method, completion year, wall area, wall thickness
- This data is used to calculate CO2 sequestration and display aggregate community statistics
Contact form submissions (if/when built)
- Name, email address, message content
We do not collect payment information, and we do not use tracking cookies at this time.
How we use your data
- To calculate and display carbon sequestration statistics (aggregated/anonymised on the public site — no names or emails are ever displayed publicly)
- To respond to enquiries submitted via contact forms
- With your consent, to send occasional email updates about HempcreteHub via our email platform (Brevo) — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email
Who we share it with
Your data is processed by the following third-party services, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
- Google (Forms, Sheets, Apps Script) — collecting and storing form submissions
- Make (make.com) — automating data transfer between our systems
- Brevo — email communications and contact management
We do not sell your data to any third party.
Data retention
We retain carbon tracker submission data indefinitely for the purpose of maintaining historical community statistics, unless you request deletion.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

HempcreteHub does not currently use tracking cookies. If we add privacy-focused analytics in future (such as Plausible, which does not use cookies or collect personal data), this policy will be updated accordingly.
